Throughout our journey from a pop-up takeaway to where we are now, it has been our mission to source the best and most responsible ingredients available whilst establishing close working relationships with other like minded local businesses.

By using local independent suppliers, we are proud to be able to offer full traceability of the produce we use and to ensure we always source the freshest and highest quality seasonal ingredients.

Quality food requires quality ingredients and we are extremely proud to be working with all of our suppliers to showcase a wide range of their sustainably sourced produce throughout our menu.

We are pleased to shine a light on some of these local legends who we are more than grateful to be working with.

ALEX GOOCH BAKERY

BREAD & BAKES

Over the years Alex has won multiple awards having grown his '1 man bakery' into a crack team of dedicated bakers. His bread and pastries are skillfully crafted using organic ingredients and traditional methods to produce the highest quality breads and bakes you will find.

With an emphasis on sustainable farming methods, their organic ingredients are carefully sourced by the team who work closely with their local suppliers. During each bake a long fermentation process is used to encourage pre-digestion of the grains to deliver nutritious and delicious fresh bread and pastries. Yum!

HARD LINES COFFEE

Hard lines are a small batch Welsh coffee roastery and café based around the corner in Cardiff. They focus on roasting and brewing delicious sustainably sourced coffee. Like us, they like to keep things seasonal, which means there is always something new and exciting around the corner.

We were drinking hard lines coffee long before One O’clock Gate was established and in our own, humble opinion, they roast the best beans around. It’s a pleasure to work with the team and to be able to offer their produce throughout our range of freshly prepared barista coffees.

The team at Meat Matters , have a downright intense, serious obsession in creating the ‘right’ environment for their produce. Their hands on approach with the farms and producers they work with has paved the way for a truer and fairer treatment of their farmers with complete transparency in the whole process from farm to fork. Meat Matters bring honesty and integrity to meat retail and the quality of their locally sourced meat is simply second to none.

Laura’s is a long established greengrocer based in Cardiff. Richard and the team have been supplying and nourishing the local community for over 20 years.

Their determination to source from highly regarded producers who really care about quality sets them apart and we love working with them to source our hand picked groceries without the use of any plastic packaging.

AUTHENTIC KOREAN & JAPANESE PRODUCE

Our relationship with Jason and the team at CKJ began long before One O’clock Gate. Naturally many of these ingredients are not produced locally, however, we take great pride in working with this local family run business who do an amazing job sourcing and supplying the finest authentic ingredients.

Good times require good food and good beer. Thankfully our fridges are stacked with a range of locally sourced brews for your to sample and enjoy including ranges from Crafty Devil, Frank+Otis Brewing Co, Glamorgan Brewing Co. and Tiny Rebel. Yum!
