FAQ'S

WHAT ARE YOUR OPENING HOURS?

From November 2023, we have changed our opening hours and are now open on Wednesday evenings but unfortunately will not be open in the daytime on Thursdays throughout the winter. 

 

Our venue's winter opening hours are as follows:

MONDAY - CLOSED 

TUESDAY - CLOSED

WEDNESDAY - Evening only 5.30pm - Late 

THURSDAY - Evening only 5.30pm - Late

FRIDAY 10.30am - LATE 

SATURDAY 10.30am - LATE 

SUNDAY 12pm - 5.00pm

Our kitchen is open for lunch service from 12.00pm to 3.00pm and for evening dinner service from 5pm until late with our last tables bookable for dinner at 9.00pm

Although these are our current opening hours, there may also be occasions where our venue is closed for private events. You can check availability by booking a table here.

ARE YOU OPEN TO THE PUBLIC?

Yes, we are a fully licensed premises and we welcome all members of the public.

DO YOU HAVE TO HAVE FOOD TO VISIT?

Not at all, if you would just like to join us for a coffee in the daytime, a glass of wine in the evening or a cocktail at anytime, you are more than welcome to. 

ARE YOU DOG FRIENDLY?

Well behaved dogs on leads are always welcome during daytime café  and lunch service hours. Water bowls are also provided around our outdoor seating area.

Unfortunately, as it can get quite busy in the evenings, we kindly request you do not bring your furry friends during dinner service.

DO YOU HAVE WHEELCHAIR ACCESS?

Yes, we have step free access from the car park to the venue as well as accessible toilet facilities on site.

DO YOU HAVE BABY CHANGE FACILITIES & HIGH CHAIRS?

Yes, baby changing facilities are provided and can be found in the accessible toilet. We have a number of high chairs available for the little one too, please leave a note on your table booking and we will make sure one (or more) are reserved for you. We also have ample space for you to park your pram at your tableside during the daytime.

IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE?

Yes, we have a 70 bay private car park on site which is open for use by our customers. Please note that our car park is shared with the golf club and unfortunately, on Saturdays, the car park is often busy from mid morning to mid afternoon.

For alternative transport to our venue, we are situated just a short walk from the village square with regular bus access and only a 5 minute walk from Dinas Powys train station.


We are also located on the popular Salmon leaps walk through cwm George woodland, so why not plan ahead and call in before or after your walk?

DO YOU OFFER VEGETARIAN AND VEGAN DISHES?

Yes, our menus naturally include a variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes. 

DO YOU HAVE A GLUTEN FREE MENU?

Yes, a number of our dishes on our menu can be created without any gluten containing ingredients. Please ask to see our Made Without Gluten Menu and we will be more than happy to help.

DO YOU HAVE CHILDREN’S MENU?

Yes, we will always have children’s menu on hand. If you wish to see the current menu, don’t hesitate to ask.

DO YOU STILL OFFER TAKEAWAY?

As we are currently only a small team, this is unfortunately not something we are able to offer at the moment. However, you are always more than welcome to come in and enjoy the venue.
